Introduction
PyroI would like to take this opportunity to introduce Avitra LLC, a multimedia consulting, system design, and production firm owned and operated by James F. Bebarski and Tom Schafer. Since 1983 Avitra has been servicing the theatre community with innovative multimedia solutions. We can help your organization with projects that range in size from consultation, design and installation of the smallest sound system, to a fully integrated sound, video, and lighting system for an entire building. We can also produce and direct a variety of multimedia and audio/visual productions. Avitra can work with you in ways that make sense for your organization.

Consulting Services
Avitra is unique in that it can bring a diverse perspective to any audiovisual or multimedia project. Avitra's success is based on listening to client's needs, paying strict attention to detail, and practicing a high degree of follow up and follow through that guarantees satisfied clients and repeat business. Avitra maintains a non biased opinion associated with equipment manufacturers, distributors or vendors; and therefore, we solely represent the client and work exclusively on their behalf. Avitra offers consulting and planning services that are available on hourly basis or we can participate as a member of a design team on contract basis. Additionally, Avitra can help your organization with strategic planning and organization of new A/V or technical departments. Avitra can work with you in ways that make sense for your organization.

Theater Sound DesignTypical Consulting Process
It has been industry documented that a typical client installs at least 3 sound systems (by the maintenance man, someone's nephew, house electrician, band member, stereo enthusiast or design/build contractor) before they get a proper system for their facility. In this project Avitra provided consulting, design, contract formulation and project management for a semi-in-the-round live musical theater sound system. Avitra determined the client's needs and budget through interviews with the board of directors, all theater staff, performers and the review of visitor comment cards. Avitra called on several professional speaker manufacturers such as JBL, EV, and Bose who provided complimentary speaker placement designs. After which, Avitra designed a complete system that included speakers, mixing board, amplifiers, processing equipment, hanging microphones, wireless microphones, and playback equipment. Avitra then create a request for proposals and helped the board of directors review submissions and made recommendations for choosing the proper installation vendor. Avitra project managed the installation process and when finished, confirmed proof of system performance. For added support, Avitra conducted operational instruction sessions with all necessary staff members, attended dress rehearsals and several of the opening season performances.

Sound Design
Pump BoysAt Avitra, the world of sound design encompasses ambient sound scapes for public spaces, exhibits, live theatrical sound design, sound for video or film, and audio recording for voice, music and sound effects. Sound and sound systems can often be one of the most overlooked aspects of just about any multimedia project. Unfortunately, poorly conceived and executed sound and sound systems can turn a pleasant visit to a theatre, museum or any public space into a bad experience. The good news is that world class sound design by Avitra brings the best experience possible to your visitors. Whether you're looking for reproduction of rain forest sounds or you're in need of a sound system that delivers wide dynamic range and intelligibility for live theatre or prerecorded playback, Avitra can help.

Past Theatrical Productions
As we all know in professional theatre vary little video is available from past productions or the quality of that video is substandard. However the video below is a ruff smattering of some my past work with a partial list of some productions below. I feel fortunate to have this much video after over 30 year helping with a wide variety of productions. Please also check out my sound design demo page.
